Molly and I went for a stroll along the Oxford Canal south of Banbury.
there was a cold wind but in sheltered spots the sun kept us warm.

the river Cherwell, alongside the canal, was returning to within its banks

the apples and pussy willows were in flower

and at home the primroses were basking in the sun when we left home

but on the way home it hailed, and over night it snowed

we kept making offerings to the birds

- here's a blackbird and a greenfinch (I think)

On 6 April the snow came again:

rosemary in the snow   daffodil in the snow

fritillary in the snow

snow in the grass (note the ferny wig!)   spring lambs / winter lambs

College wood - inside and out

bluebells in the woods

  primroses   hawthorn thawing
