Individual actions without institutional changes will merely re-decorate the world and make us complacent. Institutional change without individual participation will be oppressive and no great change at all. So the sites below blend lifestyle and worldview sites with activist and agitation sites.
two of the best news & views sources available - especially in print versions - are Private Eye and The Onion

There’s no particular order to the links — that’s part of the point!

Its an assembly of disparate sites: some about social justice, some about environmentalism, some about political change, some about going organic ... Some are creative, some are angry, some offer goods, some offer information ... oh, just click the links

Among the useful stuff Friends of the Earth’s website offers, there used to be a guide to "green energy" suppliers (we used it to go over to Ecotricity) but they've removed that on the grounds that this ought to be a government responsibility. So they invite us to send emails to represent ourselves. hurrah!

Alastair McIntosh’s homepage is an exceptional resource rooted deeply in a heady blend of gutsy Scottish commitment to lands and their inhabitants

Make sure you see his “spiritual activism” page

Tash's site not only documents popular culture, Stonehenge festivals, and other creative acts, it also records the violence of the Thatcher regime and that of Blair.

(Actually, is Blair just Thatcher in disguise?)

Like Barry, Gordon “the Toad” MacLellan is an environmental educator, performer, inspirer — patterner is his word. A real shaman in an age of mediocre shams. His Creeping Toad work is showcased here.

Circle Sanctuary in Wisconsin, USA, is a great example not only of how human people might seek to live respectfully in the widest community of living beings, but also an example of ever evolving experiments in human community.

“You are what you eat” ... maybe. Anyway, here’s Clipper Teas, purveyors of fine teas, infusions, coffees and chocolate drinks. All the best ones are organic and/or free trade. Taste good too - and that's as important.

Our most intimate encounters with the other-than-human persons with whom we co-inhabit and co-create this living community we call the world include eating them ... Growing your own isn’t only a good way to be sure you get fresh, quality food, its also a way to build relationships with all who live around you

So here’s a link to one of the UK’s main organic research and gardening centre: the Henry Doubleday Research Centre — or, as they like to be called now Garden Organic.

So, despite another Graham Harvey’s wonderful book about the story of grass (The Forgiveness of Nature), I recommend digging up those lawns and planting other plant communities ... in glorious diversity

Asphodel Long’s website contains wonderful articles about feminist spirituality, Goddesses and more.

“When we raise Her, we raise ourselves,
When we raise ourselves, we raise Her.”

Asphodel died at Imbolc (1 February) 2005 but her website remains active — and so do her ideas and inspiration

Michael Moore almost encourages me to believe that Americans can do satirical political humour ...

But to show how politically incisive British humourists can be, here’s Terry Jones on the war (“wot war?” read the Python)
